Weingut Neumeister - Pinot Noir

At the Neumeister winery, Christoph Neumeister himself is the one responsible for the vineyard and the cellar management. The modest winemaker is the third generation to run the Neumeister winery, located in the town of Straden, Vulkanland Styria. The steep and demanding vineyards in Straden have been cultivated organically since 2013. The Pinot Noir vines grow on highly calcareous, sedimentary soil, mostly made from limestone and sandstone. The wine undergoes maturation for 18 months in 500 to 2,000-liter oak barrels. Expect delicate aromas of red berries and subtle earthy undertones. On the palate, this wine offers a silky texture, balanced acidity, and refined tannins- leading to a smooth finish.
