About
Diego Losada bottled his first Le Senda in 2013. After taking the leap into the wine world, he developed a passion for natural winemaking and holds true to the idea that nature is of paramount important both for people and the earth. 1984 comes from old vine vineyards in the hills of Priaranza del Bierzo. This is where Mencía thrives and is at its most expressive. The vines are between 70-90 years old and planted on clay soils, giving the finished product an amazing balance between body, acidity and tannins. This red beauty is matured in oak casks for 8 months and bottled without fining or filtration and a minimal amount of SO2. This is a fresh and engaging Bierzo, full of black cherries, orange and white flowers with an iron-like structure and mouthwatering acidity.
