Domaine Alain Chavy stretches over 17 acres in Puligny-Montrachet and the neighboring villages of Chassagne and Meursault. Once the grapes arrive in the cellar, the winemaker inoculates them for fermentation in the barrel. Alain uses up to 15% 400-litre oak puncheons in combination with up to 25% new 228-litre Burgundian barrels for maturation. This single-vineyard Bourgogne Blanc radiates intense aromas of fresh herbs, citrus and grilled chestnuts, with a nice balance and concentration. A perfect chardonnay for pairing with food!
