Matthias Warnung grew up in a family-run Austrian winery, perfecting his skills alongside renowned winemakers like Tom Lubbe. With experiences in South Africa’s vineyards, notably with Craig Hawkins, Matthias developed a passion for natural, terroir-expressive wines. His handcrafted, small-batch wines echo the land’s character, showcasing tradition and innovation. Trinity is a unique blend of two whites (Grüner Veltliner and Riesling) and one red (Zweigelt), which employs the Blanc de Noirs technique—pressing red grapes without skins to produce white juice. The wine presents captivating aromas of cedar, tropical fruits, and stony minerality. It is richly structured and balances vibrant acidity with smooth tannins, leading to a long, satisfying finish. It beautifully rolls with delicious meatballs when you feel like adding some style to a casual home dinner.
