Aphros Wine - Phaunus Loureiro

Phaunus Amber is created with 60 days of skin contact and lees ageing in 1,300 litres Talha amphorae from southern Portugal. The wine preserves the natural acidity of the Loureiro grapes, while the maceration and lees ageing give it texture and body. As winemaker Miguel Viseu says, it's a wine "made in silence," harvested by hand in the early morning while the grapes are cold and devoid of any modern technology throughout the process. A curious approach with a delicious result.
