Located in Snežatno, in the Goriška Brda zone of Slovenia near the border with Italy, Štekar Winery began with 5 hectares of vines and has grown to 10 hectares. As Jure Stekar explains: “In the wine cellar, we follow our idea of natural wine where nature is left to take its course. Wine is produced without additives, chemicals, or invasive technologies.” Rebula, also known as Ribolla Gialla, is a grape native to Friuli in Italy and this little corner of western Slovenia.vibrant Golden hue and offers enticing aromas of apricot, peach, subtle floral notes, and acacia. The natural fermentation begins with 24 days of skin contact before the skins are removed. The wine is then aged in large Acacia wood barrels for eight months before being bottled without filtration.
