At Gönc Winery, winemaking is never without a good soundtrack playing in the background. The label of this wine is designed unconventionally, featuring the symbol of David Bowie's alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, and lyrics from "Starman," inviting wine lovers on an extraordinary journey. "Starman" comes from vineyards aged 20-55 years, rooted in soils of sand and rich marl. Peter, the winemaker, used native yeasts, hand-macerated the wine, and pressed the grapes under the moonlight. Aged on the lees for 15 months in French oak, it reveals enticing aromas of dried apricots, orange peel, and white flowers, with subtle hints of almond and honey. The palate is textured and rich, with a harmonious balance of tannins and acidity.
