Demarie - Sabbia

Sabbia uses white grapes from this region, with skin contact during fermentation and ageing in barrique. These amber wines are mostly natural, with complex aromas and flavours. Expect quince and bergamot tea, ripe peaches and a toasty character with nutty notes. Rich and full-bodied. This wine ferments in steel tanks, without temperature control, and undergoes slow maceration with skins and seeds. This vineyard is bathed in sandy orange colour that inspired the name of the wine: Sabbia is the Italian word for "sand."
