Cellar Frisach - Vernatxa 2021

This small family-run operation, now under the command of Francesc Ferré, continues its tradition of growing their own grapes using organic methodologies to produce Vernatxa. This wine is made from 100% white Grenache, hand-selected and sourced from a single plot called "Finca Quart" at a vineyard owned by Cellar Frisach, located in Corbera d’Ebre in the Terra Alta region. Fermentation takes place with the skins and the wine is aged in 500 liter oak barrels over the course of 6 months, then bottled without filtering. Banana, fresh quince and herbal notes can be felt in the nose and palate. Mild tannins and acidity round out the effect.
