About

The Côte des Bar region is the southernmost wine-growing region of Champagne. The soil here is Kimmeridgian, very similar to the soils of Chablis: a mix of clay with the pure chalk limestone of the Marne. Andreas Bartel creates this lovely Pinot Noir-dominant rosé Champagne. It's fresh and lively, with complex notes of red fruit leading into flowers, lemon and well-woven notes of brioche, biscuit and bread. The palate is generous, soft, round and supple, but finishes with very respectable length for a wine at this price point.
