על היין הזה

Lyrarakis is the family name of brothers Manolis and Sotiris, who established the winery on the island of Crete, Greece, in 1966. Family continues to explore Crete for forgotten varieties and unique terroirs. Transitioned to organic viticulture in 2020, and a significant percentage of their cooperating farmers have managed to do the same. This Liatiko wine, one of the queens of Cretan grape varieties, is planted in vineyards at 650m altitude. The regions of Sitia and Rethymno are particularly well-suited. Light ruby-colored Liatiko offers aromas of red fruit liqueur, wild berries, and a hint of spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft tannins and balanced acidity, featuring flavors of ripe cherries, plums, and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is smooth and lingering.
