Gardunha Sul - Gatafunho Red 2022

Named after the local term for the playful wild cat, Gardunha Sul is a winery nestled in the shadow of the Serra da Gardunha mountains, renowned for its dedication to sustainable practices and minimal intervention winemaking. After 15 years of working in classical oenology and various areas of the food industry, André Duque Lourenço grew tired of producing “Coca-Cola” wines and decided to pursue a personal project he had always envisioned: making wine in the Beira Baixa region. Thus, Gardunha Sul was born. The 2022 vintage showcases a harmonious blend of native grape varieties, offering vibrant aromas of blueberry, cherries, and a hint of picant flavors. This delightful red is not only a treat for the palate but also a celebration of the winery’s commitment to preserving the local environment.
